Our awesome members Ben and Tina at Electric Copper Films invited us to host a Q+A at the screening of their latest documentary ‘Steel Spirits’. The screening took place at the Everyman Cinema, Chelmsford to a sold out theatre.
Steel Spirits: A documentary film about a wheelchair basketball team from the UK. The players have already been tested in life through injury or at birth and with a resilience natural to athletes they test themselves again, daily, in a sport they love. Wheelchair basketball is gaining a reputation as the emerging sport of choice for fans of action and athleticism. Its fast pace is not for the faint-hearted, and the High Rollers basketball team are real rock ’n’ rollers who’s lives reflect the chaos, order and resilience needed to compete. The pandemic hasn’t dampened their spirit for competition and when lock down ends the team will be ready to go. For now; allow us to introduce just a few of the characters that make up the the UK’s wheel chair basketball scene…If you’ve never watched a game we highly recommend you do…ouch!
